First Watt is a boutique American amplifier brand founded in 1998 by renowned designer Nelson Pass. It focuses on low-power, minimalist Class A amplifiers designed to perfect the critical “first watt” of audio power. Using simple, feedback-free circuits and innovative technologies like JFET and SIT transistors, First Watt amps deliver a unique blend of warmth, detail, and purity often compared to tube sound.
