ATC SCM40A

The ATC SCM40A is the active version of the SCM40, designed for maximum control, precision, and simplicity. It is fully developed and built in-house by ATC. As a result, it delivers highly detailed, cohesive, and dynamic sound with built-in amplification and active crossover design.

Compared to the passive SCM40, the SCM40A removes the need for an external amplifier and crossover. Therefore, it offers a fully optimized, factory-matched system with even greater control, timing, and coherence.

Active three-way ATC driver system

The SCM40A uses a 25mm dual-suspension soft dome tweeter with wave guide, a dedicated ATC soft dome midrange driver, and a 164mm short-coil bass driver. In addition, all drivers use large optimized motor assemblies for high accuracy and low distortion.

Built-in amplification and active crossover

The SCM40A includes a 242W Class A/B tri-amplifier and active crossover filters. Therefore, each driver is directly powered and precisely controlled. As a result, the system delivers excellent dynamics, timing, and overall coherence.

Amplifier-free system design

Because amplification is built in, the SCM40A does not require an external power amplifier. In addition, this ensures perfect matching between amplification, crossover, and drivers for consistent performance.
