Audio Technica AT-VM510xCB

The AT-VM520xEB is part of Audio-Technica’s premium VMx series. It delivers warm, realistic sound with a wide soundstage rich in musical detail. Moreover, this updated design closely follows the cutting head used to make the vinyl master, just like all our MM cartridges. Therefore, the position of the two magnets relative to the groove ensures excellent channel separation and wide frequency response for both left and right channels.

Additionally, the VMx series introduces material and design improvements that refine the sound. As a result, you get faster response and improved musical dynamics.

Key features

All VMx cartridges have a Dual Moving Magnet (MM) design with paratoroidal coils, two coils placed one after another per channel. This setup significantly improves efficiency. Furthermore, a central shield plate separates the left and right channels. This reduces crosstalk and keeps the stereo image clear.

Also, the coil wire is upgraded to PCUHD® (pure copper with very high stretchability), which provides rich and detailed sound. To improve transient response, the number of coil windings is slightly reduced. Thus, the cartridge reacts faster to signal changes and delivers clear, lifelike music.

The AT-VM520xEB uses a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical bonded stylus that closely follows the groove. This ensures excellent audio reproduction.

Ease of use

• Threaded mounting holes allow easy installation with only two screws, no nuts needed.
• Protective stylus guard with V-shaped cutout lets you see the stylus position easily for precise cueing.
