The AT-VM520xEB is part of Audio-Technica’s high-performance VMx series. It uses a Dual Moving Magnet design to capture the warmth, detail, and stereo imaging of vinyl with impressive precision. Its 0.3 x 0.7 mil bonded elliptical stylus follows the grooves of your records closely, helping to deliver clear and dynamic sound.
In addition, the updated VMx design includes paratoroidal coils, two per channel—for improved signal transfer. A central shield plate separates the left and right channels, which helps reduce crosstalk and improves stereo clarity. The coils use PCUHD® (Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability) wire and fewer windings. As a result, this cartridge responds faster to sound changes, making your music sound more vivid and lifelike.
