Graham Audio LS8/1F

The Graham Audio LS8/1F is a high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker designed by Derek Hughes. It brings together classic BBC design principles and modern engineering to create a speaker with both heritage and heart. Inspired by the legendary LS3/6 and the Chartwell LS6, the LS8/1F is ideal for audiophiles seeking musical truth, expansive scale, and natural tonality, delivered in a refined, room-friendly format.

BBC Heritage, reimagined

The LS8/1F builds on decades of BBC engineering experience, continuing Graham Audio’s mission to preserve and enhance this design legacy. While respecting the voicing and character of its studio-grade predecessors, this model offers more authority, wider bandwidth, and improved dynamic range. It brings life and warmth to vocals, while handling complex orchestration and deep bass with composure.

Designed for domestic spaces

Unlike some of its larger BBC siblings, the LS8/1F is designed to thrive in real-world living rooms. Its slender floorstanding cabinet maintains the thin-wall construction principles that reduce unwanted resonance and preserve tonal accuracy. At the same time, its proportions and elegant finish options make it a subtle yet stunning addition to any interior.

What makes the LS8/1F special?

• 3-way design with bespoke 200mm bass driver, 76mm midrange dome, and precision tweeter
• Thin-wall cabinet with tuned internal damping for low coloration
• Front-facing port for easy room placement
• Extended low-frequency performance without sacrificing midrange purity
• Designed and built in the UK using studio-grade components

Natural, effortless listening

Thanks to its wide soundstage, accurate imaging, and relaxed presentation, the LS8/1F lets you listen for hours without fatigue. Whether you’re enjoying acoustic jazz, complex symphonic works, or cinematic scores, it brings every recording to life with honesty and finesse.
