J.Sikora Standard Max Supreme
The J.Sikora Standard Max Supreme celebrates 15 years of uncompromising analogue engineering. Created to mark the company’s anniversary, this exceptional turntable revives Janusz Sikora’s original 2009 Standard Max design while incorporating many of the advanced solutions later developed for the flagship Reference model. The result is a remarkable combination of heritage, craftsmanship and reference-level performance.
A Design That Shaped a Legacy
The original Standard Max became the foundation of J.Sikora’s philosophy. However, its ambitious material choices proved too costly to fully realise at the time. Fifteen years later, that vision has finally become reality.
The anniversary Standard Max Supreme uses carefully selected combinations of brass, copper, stainless steel, bronze and aluminium to recreate the designer’s original concept. In many ways, it delivers the character of a Reference turntable while preserving the spirit of the first Standard Max.
Reference Technology, Refined
Many of the engineering solutions come directly from J.Sikora’s flagship Reference platform. Brass now replaces aluminium throughout the suspension, while the motor housings feature thick stainless steel construction with improved internal damping. Solid brass bases further increase stability and help control unwanted resonance.
Moreover, the redesigned armboard combines brass, steel, and aluminium to create an exceptionally rigid platform for the tonearm. Every material serves a clear acoustic purpose, allowing the Standard Max Supreme to approach the sonic performance of the Reference model.
Key Features

- Reference-derived construction: Incorporates technologies and materials developed for the flagship Reference turntable.
- Multi-metal chassis: Brass, copper, stainless steel, bronze, and aluminium work together to optimise resonance control.
- 18kg Delrin® and cast-iron platter: High rotational stability preserves timing accuracy and musical flow.
- Ceramic inverted bearing: A precision ceramic-ball bearing minimises friction for smooth and stable rotation.
- Dual DC motor drive: Two independently driven motors provide consistent speed at both 33⅓ and 45 RPM.
- Reference power supply: Supplied exclusively with the flagship Reference power supply for maximum performance.
- Premium accessories included: Armboard, record clamp and glass platter mat are supplied as standard.
Built Without Compromise
Every structural element contributes to mechanical stability and vibration control. The suspension uses brass throughout, while layered separators beneath the platter combine steel, copper and solid brass. Together, these carefully chosen materials create an exceptionally inert platform for vinyl playback.
The substantial 98kg total weight further reinforces the turntable’s ability to isolate the stylus from unwanted vibration, allowing recordings to emerge with remarkable clarity and authority.
A Collector’s Anniversary Edition
The Standard Max Supreme represents far more than a cosmetic anniversary model. It completes a project that began in 2009 and finally realises Janusz Sikora’s original vision without compromise.
The first fifteen sets were individually numbered, highlighting the significance of this milestone edition. Now available as part of J.Sikora’s permanent range, the Standard Max Supreme preserves the spirit of the anniversary model while bringing its extraordinary engineering to a wider audience.
Reference Performance, Timeless Craftsmanship
The J.Sikora Standard Max Supreme combines reference-inspired engineering, premium materials, and meticulous craftsmanship into a turntable built for the most demanding analogue systems. It delivers the weight, stability and musical refinement that define J.Sikora’s approach to vinyl reproduction.
When an original vision finally meets unlimited execution, extraordinary analogue performance becomes possible.
