The Leben CS-1000P is a high-power stereo tube amplifier designed to deliver powerful yet refined musical performance. It uses KT120 output tubes in a flexible design with selectable pentode and triode operation. As a result, it combines strong dynamic drive with smooth, natural musical expression.
Built for high-performance audio systems, the CS-1000P blends classic tube engineering with wide-bandwidth modern design. In addition, it uses upgraded transformers and precision components throughout. Therefore, it achieves excellent clarity, stability, and musical realism across a wide range of loudspeakers.
High-power KT120 output stage
The amplifier uses KT120 tubes, often regarded as “super KT88” valves. It delivers approximately 100W per channel in pentode mode and 70W per channel in triode mode. Because of this, it offers both strong authority and refined low-power finesse depending on system needs.
Pentode and triode operation
A front-panel switch allows selection between pentode and triode modes. Pentode mode provides maximum output power and dynamic impact. In addition, triode mode emphasizes harmonic richness and smoother tonal balance. Therefore, the amplifier can adapt to different listening styles and systems.
Bias adjustment and tube flexibility
The CS-1000P includes a cathode-direct bias meter for precise current monitoring and adjustment. This allows safe operation with multiple output tube types. As a result, users can maintain optimal performance and long-term tube stability.
Newly developed Orient-core output transformers
The amplifier features newly developed Orient-core output transformers designed for low loss and extended high-frequency response. Therefore, it maintains clarity, speed, and control even under high power conditions.
Wide frequency response
The CS-1000P delivers an extremely wide frequency response from 10Hz to 150kHz (-0dB). This ensures excellent performance with both analog and high-resolution digital sources. As a result, music is reproduced with openness and precision.
Rigid construction and mechanical stability
The chassis uses high-rigidity aluminum insulators and a robust mechanical structure. In addition, premium internal components reduce distortion and resonance. Therefore, the amplifier maintains a clean and stable signal path.
Precision components
The design includes a high-sensitivity bias meter, high-grade metal glaze resistors with low tolerance, and an ALPS 41-step detented volume control. As a result, it provides accurate adjustment and consistent channel balance.
