The Linn LP12 Keel SE is the highest-performance sub-chassis and armboard available for the Sondek LP12. Designed to maximise rigidity, optimise resonance control, and improve suspension performance, it helps extract even more musical detail from every record.
Machined from a single piece of solid aluminium, the Keel SE combines the sub-chassis and armboard into one highly rigid structure. As a result, it significantly reduces unwanted vibration and improves overall stability throughout the playback system.
Maximum stiffness and control
An intricate bracing structure on the underside of the Keel SE increases stiffness by approximately 300% compared to previous Linn designs. Therefore, vibrations carry less energy and have a reduced impact on the sensitive audio signal.
Optimised resonance behaviour
Linn carefully engineered the Keel SE to manage and dissipate unwanted acoustic energy more effectively. Consequently, resonances have less influence on playback, allowing the cartridge to retrieve more information from the record groove.
Improved suspension balance
By removing material from specific areas beneath the armboard, Linn optimised the centre of mass of the Keel SE. As a result, weight is distributed more evenly across the LP12 suspension, improving isolation and reducing inertia.
