The Nagaoka JT-80LB phono cartridge is a premium moving magnet cartridge developed as part of Nagaoka’s JEWELTONE JT-80 anniversary series. In addition, it was created to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary, combining refined Japanese engineering with a dynamic and musical sound character for demanding vinyl listeners.

Designed as the standard model within the JT-80 range, the JT-80LB features a redesigned cartridge body, an aluminium cantilever, and a bonded elliptical diamond stylus. The JT-80LB is part of Nagaoka’s JEWELTONE JT-80 series, introduced to mark the company’s 80th anniversary. In addition, the JT-80 series received the prestigious Good Design Award 2020, highlighting its strong combination of performance and industrial design.

Aluminium cantilever and elliptical stylus

The JT-80LB uses a lightweight aluminium cantilever paired with a bonded elliptical diamond stylus. As a result, it offers stable groove tracking and detailed sound reproduction. Furthermore, the elliptical stylus shape improves contact with the groove walls, which helps reveal more musical detail while reducing distortion.
