Nagaoka MP-700

The Nagaoka MP-700 is a premium moving magnet (MM) cartridge made for discerning vinyl listeners. Designed with precision and innovation, it brings outstanding detail, clarity, and musicality to every record. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet jazz session or a full orchestral performance, the MP-700 delivers a rich, dynamic sound that brings music to life.

Advanced moving permalloy technology

At the heart of the MP-700 is Nagaoka’s innovative Moving Permalloy system. By using a lightweight Permalloy stylus element, the cartridge reduces mass and enhances groove tracking. As a result, the sound becomes clearer and more natural, capturing even the smallest musical details.

Precision tracking with micro-ridge diamond

To ensure excellent tracking, Nagaoka uses a 0.12 x 0.3 mil micro-ridge nude diamond stylus. Combined with a carefully engineered needle holder, it maintains stability and accuracy, even in complex passages. Consequently, you’ll hear music with improved separation and depth.

Balanced and stable sound

The MP-700 uses the softest damper in Nagaoka’s lineup, offering smooth movement and precise control. This, along with a custom pivot system, keeps playback stable at all times. Therefore, the sound stays consistent—from deep, tight bass to smooth mids and clear highs.

Built to last

Crafted from ultra-duraluminium, the MP-700’s housing features three protective coatings: nickel, black tin, and an insulating layer. This special finish prevents static, protects the cartridge, and gives it a refined look that fits any turntable setup.

Made by hand in japan

Every MP-700 cartridge is carefully assembled by experienced technicians in Japan. This attention to detail ensures reliable performance and exceptional sound, making it a trusted choice for audiophiles around the world.
