Phasemation CS-1200 Headshell

The Phasemation CS-1200 is a high-end headshell developed for the PP-5000 MC cartridge. It builds on the CS-1000 design, but Phasemation reduced its weight and improved sound quality. As a result, it improves tracking stability, lowers resonance, and reveals more detail from the cartridge.

Phasemation builds the CS-1200 from lightweight duralumin and keeps high rigidity in the structure. In addition, it applies a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating that increases surface hardness and reduces vibration. Therefore, the headshell delivers cleaner and more stable sound reproduction.

Lightweight rigid design

The CS-1200 weighs about 10% less than the CS-1000 while it keeps full structural rigidity. As a result, it improves tracking accuracy and maintains stable performance.

DLC coating for vibration control

A DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating increases hardness and improves damping. Therefore, the body reduces unwanted resonance and keeps the signal cleaner.

Direct contact structure

The connector uses a direct-contact pin system, and double bolts secure the body. In addition, this design strengthens the connection to the tonearm and improves signal transfer stability.

Brass finger hook and wiring

A brass finger hook reduces resonance through its material and shape. In addition, PC-TripleC lead wires carry the signal with high clarity and low loss.
