Phasemation PS-1200

The Phasemation PS-1200 is a dedicated external power supply designed for the EA-1200 tube phono amplifier. It extends the performance of the system by delivering cleaner and more stable power. As a result, it improves musical realism and helps reveal both fine detail and emotional expression in vinyl playback.

Phasemation developed the PS-1200 in response to users who wanted fully independent left and right channel configurations. In addition, it allows the EA-1200 system to move from a shared power structure to a more advanced dual-mono approach. Therefore, it supports higher performance and greater channel separation.

High-capacity power supply design

The unit uses a large-capacity R-core transformer that exceeds the required specification. In addition, it incorporates a directly heated 5U4G rectifier tube. Therefore, it delivers strong, stable, and low-noise power to the amplifier.

Advanced rectification circuit

The rectification stage combines the R-core transformer with a tube-based rectifier and dual choke coils. Each channel benefits from clean and controlled power delivery. As a result, the amplifier operates with improved stability and reduced noise.

Magnetic shielding and noise reduction

Phasemation applies magnetic shielding to both the power transformer and choke coils. This reduces interference and unwanted magnetic effects. Therefore, the power supply remains clean and stable under demanding conditions.

Increased power supply capacity

The PS-1200 can increase its output capacity by using the included shorting connector. This connects previously independent left and right choke coils and capacitors in parallel. As a result, output impedance drops and overall power delivery improves significantly.

Improved channel performance

By supporting fully independent power configurations, the PS-1200 improves channel separation and signal stability. In addition, it reduces interaction between channels. Therefore, it enhances clarity, imaging, and overall sound precision.

Rigid and resonance-controlled construction

The chassis uses a 10 mm thick aluminium front panel combined with a copper-plated steel base and an aluminium cover. In addition, the structure includes magnetic shielding to reduce distortion. As a result, the unit maintains mechanical stability and protects signal integrity.
