Phasemation SA-1500 Integrated Amplifier

The Phasemation SA-1500 is a 300B single-ended stereo integrated amplifier designed to deliver natural musical realism and strong emotional expression. It builds on Phasemation’s vacuum tube philosophy and brings high-end transformer-coupled design into a compact integrated format. As a result, it offers refined tone, strong dynamics, and a highly engaging listening experience with about 9W of output power.

Phasemation developed the SA-1500 to make its 300B-based amplifier concept more accessible. In addition, it combines a simple signal path with carefully selected vacuum tubes and high-quality transformers. Therefore, it preserves purity while maintaining stable and controlled speaker drive.

300B single-ended class-A design

The SA-1500 uses a single 300B output tube per channel in pure class-A operation. In addition, a 6SN7 driver stage supports stable and linear amplification. As a result, the amplifier delivers smooth, powerful, and natural sound with strong musical flow.

Non-feedback triode circuit

The amplifier uses a fully triode-based, non-feedback design across all stages. Therefore, it avoids global feedback distortion and preserves natural dynamics and harmonic texture. This results in expressive and fluid sound reproduction.

Transformer-coupled output stage

Lundahl output transformers from Sweden handle signal transfer to the speakers. In addition, a shared output terminal supports 4–8 ohm speaker loads. As a result, the SA-1500 achieves stable impedance matching and refined tonal balance.

Independent channel power supply

Separate choke transformers supply the left and right channels independently. Therefore, channel interference stays minimal and stereo separation improves. This design helps maintain clarity and spatial precision.

Low-noise power design

The power supply uses a choke-based high-voltage circuit with fast recovery diodes. In addition, DC heating drives the 300B filament for lower noise. As a result, the amplifier maintains a clean background and high signal purity.

6SN7-driven 300B output stage

The 6SN7 driver stage controls the 300B output tubes with stable gain and smooth transfer characteristics. Therefore, the amplifier achieves strong drive capability while keeping tonal naturalness and control.

Direct mode for higher purity

The SA-1500 includes a DIRECT input mode on INPUT1. In addition, this mode bypasses the volume circuit for cleaner signal flow. As a result, users can use it as a pure power amplifier with maximum transparency.

Mechanical design and build quality

The chassis uses rigid construction and vibration control techniques similar to higher-end Phasemation models. In addition, transformer mounting reduces mechanical noise transfer. Therefore, the amplifier maintains stable and quiet operation.
