Stax SR-007S

The Stax SR-007S is the latest evolution in STAX’s legendary electrostatic earspeaker line. Building on the groundbreaking SR-007 and SR-007A, it combines advanced sound engineering with timeless design. Since its first release in 1998, the SR-007 series has set new standards in detail, tonal accuracy, and immersive listening. With the SR-007S, this legacy continues—delivering both precision and emotion in every note.

Advanced sound engineering

The SR-007S introduces newly designed diaphragms and fixed electrodes. In addition, STAX reduced the vent hole diameter by 20% compared to earlier models. This careful refinement improves airflow and sound balance, resulting in deep, powerful bass while still revealing fine details with striking clarity.

ARS – Anti-Resonance Structure

Inspired by the flagship SR-X9000, the SR-007S includes a seamless stainless steel arc plate for greater rigidity and vibration control. Moreover, its innovative hinge mechanism ensures a more natural fit. Together with the soft rubber head pad, this design provides stable, adjustment-free comfort that is perfect for long listening sessions.

Premium sheepskin earpads

The SR-007S comes with new sheepskin earpads featuring a rotating design that adapts to your head. As a result, they reduce unwanted reflections and enhance absorption for a more precise, spacious soundstage. Finished in STAX’s signature brown, these pads merge elegance with performance and respect the tradition of the 007 series.

Detachable cable for practical use

For convenience and long-lasting reliability, the SR-007S uses a detachable cable system. This addition makes it simple to replace or upgrade cables, ensuring the earspeakers continue to perform at their best for years to come.

• Refined electrostatic design with updated diaphragms and electrodes
• 20% smaller vent holes for improved sound balance
• Anti-Resonance Structure for stability and reduced vibration
• Premium sheepskin earpads with adaptive rotating fit
• Detachable cable system for easy upgrades and care

A classic, reimagined

In summary, the Stax SR-007S combines science and craftsmanship in a way few products can. Furthermore, it preserves the timeless character of the 007 series while pushing performance even further. For those seeking lifelike sound and comfort at the highest level, the SR-007S stands as a true reference in electrostatic headphones.
