Advanced driver technology

The 9 cm CST Driver is a key feature of the ME1 TX. This driver helps control the directivity of the midrange and tweeter. It achieves clear, solid imaging, producing a natural soundfield. The driver reproduces a wide frequency range, from 420 Hz to 60 kHz, for a detailed and accurate sound.

For the tweeter, the 25 mm beryllium diaphragm is designed with TAD’s proprietary vapor deposition technique. This material is both lightweight and rigid, allowing for a wide frequency range up to 60 kHz. The result is crisp, accurate high frequencies, adding clarity to the overall sound.

Midrange and woofer design

The magnesium alloy midrange diaphragm offers high internal loss, reducing distortion. The combination of anodization and coating adds strength and further reduces resonance. This ensures clear, distortion-free sound in the midrange frequencies, producing a smooth and natural sound.

The 16 cm woofer uses a Multi-layered Aramid Composite Cone (MACC). This unique material combines woven aramid fabric with non-woven fabric to deliver a deep, clear bass. The woofer’s Linear Drive Magnet Circuit (LDMC) and foamed polycarbonate surround enhance linearity, providing clean and responsive bass.

Precision enclosure and bass performance

The ME1 TX’s SILENT Enclosure technology minimizes vibrations and resonance. The enclosure combines birch-plywood braces and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels for superb strength. Adding 5 mm-thick steel panels on each side further reduces vibration. Inside, carefully chosen acoustic absorbents prevent standing waves, ensuring precise sound imaging.

The Bidirectional ADS port design enhances bass response. The slit-shaped ports are placed on the left and right side panels, allowing smooth airflow. This reduces port noise and improves bass clarity, giving you rich, natural-sounding low frequencies.
