Rich audio with precise D/A conversion

The SL-G700M2 uses Technics’ High Precision Coherent D/A converter to deliver highly accurate digital-to-analog playback. Two ESS ES9026PRO DAC chips in a balanced dual-mono setup help reduce noise and interference. As a result, the soundstage becomes more vivid, and musical depth increases. The discrete amplifier design also boosts signal clarity, capturing even fine audio details.

Cleaner sound with Coherent Processing

Technics’ Coherent Processing Technology improves impulse response while minimizing distortion. It corrects phase and amplitude issues during the conversion process, even with high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz PCM. DSD content, like Super Audio CDs, bypasses this process and goes straight to the DAC to preserve its natural form.

Multi-Stage power for lower noise

The SL-G700M2 uses a silent multi-stage power supply, designed to reduce noise in three key steps:

• High-speed 300 kHz switching power supply
• Low-noise voltage regulator
• Current injection noise canceling

Together, these steps ensure stable and clean power delivery, which enhances the overall sound quality.

Smart noise cancelation with current injection

To remove unwanted noise, Technics developed an advanced system that injects an inverse-phase current. This method cancels out interference more effectively than traditional techniques. By combining it with a push-pull strategy, the system delivers clearer and more accurate audio.

Solid build, designed for high performance

Internally, the SL-G700M2 separates its key sections—power, digital interface, analog circuits, and disc drive—to avoid cross-interference. It also features a triple-layer chassis and a rigid die-cast aluminum tray to minimize vibration. Externally, the 7 mm front panel and 3 mm side panels, both in aluminum, offer a high-end finish. The engraved Technics logo adds a refined touch.

Wide format support and MQA compatibility

This unit supports a variety of high-resolution formats including WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, and DSD. It plays Super Audio CDs and MQA files with full support. Use the “Pure Disc Playback” mode for even better sound from physical media.
