The Thuono TH400 is the most advanced model in the TH series. Its impressive structure combines Nero Marquina marble and thick aluminum, supporting a 400 mm platter. Magnetic suspensions for vibrational isolation

Tiny vibrations can interfere with musical detail. They may come from speakers, floors, or the air. To prevent this, the TH400 uses three magnetic suspensions. These isolate the upper chassis completely from external movement. Oversized support discs add extra damping. Consequently, the platter and tonearm work as a single rigid system, preserving dynamics and silence before playback.

400 mm Platter for stability and precision

The TH400 features a massive 400 mm aluminum platter with an antistatic, damping disc on top. Its size delivers high inertial torque, reducing rotational disturbances and enhancing dynamics. A 160 mm flywheel enhances rotational stability, absorbs motor vibrations, and increases inertia for richer, more accurate sound. The DC motor sits in a flexible rubber mount to further reduce rumble. Finally, a microprocessor with Hall effect sensors monitors speed, keeping the platter perfectly steady at 33.33 or 45 RPM.
