The WADAX Studio Player is a reference digital source that combines a CD/SACD player, streamer, and DAC in a single chassis. Built around technology derived from the acclaimed Atlantis Reference DAC, it delivers exceptional digital performance while offering a simple and intuitive way to enjoy both physical media and streaming.

CD, SACD and streaming in one

Studio Player supports both Red Book CD and SACD, while direct-connect playback is available for Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Audirvana, and Roon. Consequently, your preferred streaming app can control playback directly, including artwork and volume, without additional management software.

WADAX musIC technology

At the heart of Studio Player is WADAX’s proprietary musIC feed-forward error correction process. Operating in the time domain, it calculates and corrects linear and nonlinear errors in real time. With 128-bit internal processing and 12.8 GBytes/s of data transfer, it is designed to preserve the finest musical information and deliver exceptionally natural and engaging digital playback.

Precision engineering

The chassis incorporates 620 custom-machined parts and 14 different materials and alloys to carefully manage resonance and vibration. A fully balanced dual-mono architecture provides complete physical and electrical separation of the left and right channels, while digital circuitry is time aligned to 100 ps.

Modular and upgradeable

Studio Player is designed to evolve alongside your system. Replaceable Atlantis Reference DAC modules provide access to future WADAX developments, while optional additions such as the Studio PSU, Studio Clock, and Akasa DC Studio Cable can further enhance the complete system. With the Studio Clock installed, total jitter can be reduced to just 20 fs.
