Yamaha YH-4000 Headphone Black

Yamaha YH-4000 Headphones

The Yamaha YH-4000 is a reference-grade open-back planar magnetic headphone that combines decades of Yamaha’s Orthodynamic™ heritage with modern engineering. Built in Japan, it delivers exceptional clarity, natural tonal balance and immersive musical realism. As a result, every recording feels closer to a live performance.

True Sound, Just as the Artist Intended

Yamaha’s True Sound philosophy places the listener at the heart of the performance. Rather than emphasizing individual frequencies, the YH-4000 recreates the emotion, space and dynamics of the original recording. Consequently, vocals sound more lifelike, instruments retain their natural timbre and every performance gains greater depth.

Advanced Orthodynamic™ Driver Technology

At the core of the YH-4000 is Yamaha’s newly developed Orthodynamic™ planar magnetic driver. Inspired by the legendary HP-1 from the 1970s, this modern design combines an ultra-light thin-film diaphragm with conductive traces on both sides for exceptional speed and precision.

Moreover, carefully tuned airflow and micro-perforated dampers allow the diaphragm to move with remarkable accuracy. The result is faster transients, richer detail and effortless musical dynamics.

Comfort for Long Listening Sessions

Every part of the YH-4000 is designed for extended listening comfort. The lightweight magnesium frame reduces fatigue, while the dual-layer headband distributes weight evenly.
