Its advanced three-layer diaphragm combines paper, resin, and high-strength ZYLON™ PBO fibre, a material also used in Yamaha’s flagship loudspeakers. Consequently, the driver achieves exceptional speed, high resolution and a remarkably smooth presentation.

Furthermore, Yamaha’s redesigned driver structure features rear ventilation, a patented Y-shaped reinforced mesh damper and a pure iron pole piece. Together, these elements reduce distortion while preserving powerful low-frequency performance and fast transient response.

Handcrafted Wooden Housing

The YH-C3000 features beautifully finished beech wood earcups, crafted using techniques borrowed from Yamaha’s piano manufacturing expertise. Each housing receives multiple stages of sanding, painting and polishing, creating a deep black semi-transparent finish that reveals the natural wood grain beneath.

Besides enhancing its elegant appearance, the carefully selected wood helps create a rich and naturally resonant sound with outstanding clarity and speed.
