In 1997, Accuphase succeeded in developing a clean power supply based on the ideal of pursuing the origin of pure audio by improving the quality of the power supply, and launched the PS-1200. The PS-1200 compares the power supply waveform with a reference waveform, which is an ideal sine wave, compensates for any deficiency and removes any excess using revolutionary technology. The new PS-1250 is the latest addition to the PS-1250 line-up.
The new PS-1250 is the sixth generation of the PS-1200, a large-capacity clean power supply. The PS-1250 is equipped with a ‘liquid crystal panel (LCD)’ to realise the long-held ideal of observing input/output waveforms, allowing the user to check the effects of waveform shaping.
High-precision reference signals generated without an oscillator are input to the waveform correction amplifier via balanced transmission, and the waveform correction amplifier uses a ’20-parallel push-pull amplification circuit with bipolar power transistors’ to achieve a low distortion rate and a large output capacity of 1200VA. In addition, ten high-quality, safe and reliable hospital-grade AC output terminals that have passed strict standards are provided. The wiring from the output circuit to each AC output terminal is adjusted to the same length to ensure that there are no differences in sound quality between AC output terminals.
The PS-1250 is an essential part of the listening environment and has a tremendous effect on sound quality improvement.
