The HiFiMAN HE-R9 is a closed-back over-ear headphone from HiFiMAN. Like the HE-R10 Dynamic, the HE-R9 uses a dynamic “Topology Diaphragm. This dynamic driver has undergone a surface treatment with a nano-coating that was initially developed for the reproducers of in-ear monitors. These unique drivers provide a natural and detailed soundstage. The HiFiMAN HE-R9 sounds lively, with a solid low, a precise high and plenty of space. The HE-R9 has an impedance of 32Ω and sensitivity of 100dB, making it relatively easy to drive. HiFiMAN includes a Dual 3.5/6.35mm cable, and the included BlueMini R2R wireless Bluetooth module makes for very good wireless closed-back headphones. The HiFiMAN HE-R9 is light (only 328 grams) and remarkably comfortable.
