Advanced Driver Technology

The 18cm Esotec+ woofer in Evoke 20 is made from MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer), a material Dynaudio has refined over decades. It provides the ideal balance of lightness, stiffness, and damping, ensuring excellent performance in midrange and bass frequencies. The new strontium carbonate Ferrite+ ceramic magnet system enhances the driver’s sensitivity, delivering perfect balance across the frequency range.

Rather than traditional construction, the diaphragm of the woofer is made from a single piece of MSP, providing greater rigidity and reducing physical distortion. This improves the connection between the voice coil and diaphragm, ensuring more accurate sound reproduction. The 52mm aluminium voice-coil offers optimal balance of weight, damping, and response, allowing bass frequencies to pack a punch while maintaining clear midrange detail.

A Nomex spider ensures everything stays centered and moving correctly, while the seamless Contour-derived surround offers a longer throw for added power and punch. With the rear-firing bass ports and two-part foam plugs, you can easily tailor the bass performance to fit your room, choosing between fully open, half-open, or fully closed settings.

The All-New Cerotar Tweeter

The Cerotar tweeter, a brand-new addition to the Evoke 20, takes inspiration from Dynaudio’s flagship technologies, including the award-winning Esotar Forty anniversary tweeter and the Esotar3 in the Confidence series. This 28mm soft-dome tweeter uses precision coating to optimize high-frequency performance and reduce distortion, ensuring clear and dynamic sound.

What sets the Cerotar tweeter apart is the innovative Hexis: an inner dome that shapes airflow to smooth the frequency response and eliminate unwanted resonances. Powered by the new strontium carbonate Ferrite+ ceramic magnet, this tweeter offers increased sensitivity, better detail resolution, and a natural, dynamic high-frequency response that allows you to enjoy hours of listening without fatigue.

The cabinets are tapered and rounded, reminiscent of the Contour and Confidence series, with stylish one-piece trim rings hiding the mounting screws for a clean, minimalist look.
