Handmade in Berlin, Tara combines Ramar’s highly effective carbon fibre and goat hair brush system with a striking real-metal gold finish. As a result, routine record cleaning becomes both a precise maintenance step and a beautifully tactile part of the listening ritual.

A record brush with a golden character

Inspired by the artistic work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Ramar created Tara as part of a limited series featuring a genuine metal skin applied to the brush body. The high-gloss gold appearance emphasizes the value of the record as a musical medium while giving Tara a truly distinctive presence. Consequently, this is a record-cleaning accessory designed to be admired as much as it is used.

Six rows of carbon fibre and two rows of goat hair

At the heart of Tara is Ramar’s unique brush configuration, carefully assembled by hand in Berlin. Six double rows containing millions of carbon fibres reach deeply into the record grooves, while two rows of goat hair complement them by helping capture and remove dust and larger particles. Therefore, the combination provides thorough everyday cleaning while treating the delicate record surface with care.

Effective dust removal and static dissipation

The carefully selected materials and specific arrangement of the bristle rows are designed not only to collect dust but also to dissipate existing electrostatic charge. At the same time, the construction helps prevent the build-up of additional static during cleaning. As a result, Tara offers a more controlled and comprehensive approach to keeping vinyl surfaces clean between plays.

Handcrafted body with genuine metal finish

Tara begins with a solid-wood body that is covered with a real metal skin. The surface is subsequently sanded and polished to a high gloss before being sealed for durability and resistance to fingerprints. In addition, the aluminium bristle cover receives an electroless nickel coating, providing excellent wear and corrosion resistance while maintaining its refined appearance.

Complete vinyl-care system

Tara is supplied with a protective case, stylus brush, cleaning pad, and storage box. The included case protects the carbon fibres and goat hair from dust and damage when the brush is not in use. Likewise, the supplied natural-felt cleaning pad allows the brush itself to be regularly cleaned, helping maintain its performance over time.
